Petrified Wood Slab
A fantastic piece shown used as a table top. This is a very large slice from an ancient conifer 200 million years old.
This once living tree was similar in size to present day redwoods found in California. The internal structure of the rings can still be seen as it was preserved by minerals that replaced the plant material as it petrified. The colors come from traces of carbon and iron in the main quartz component. * Shown here placed on a teak base for display purposes. Choose your own ideal base to suit your personal decor.
