Pyrite from Peru 116 Lbs.
Pyrite on chili factory gear stand. This Pyrite specimen was dug out from a mine in the high mountains of Peru. Wherefore removed with hand tools under treacherous conditions with little oxygen to breathe at such high altitudes. On close inspection see the cubes of pyrite formed on a bed of quartz crystals covering the face of the piece.
A special piece like this warrants a special display. Metal stand is made from repurposed metal from a piece of New Mexico history. The gear base was once a working part in a chili factory.
