Cave Bear Molar (Ursus Spelaeus) In 3D Case
Cave Bear Molar (Ursus Spelaeus). The cave bear was a species of bear that lived during the Pleistocene and became extinct about 24,000 years ago during the Last Glacial Maximum. They lived mostly in caves in Central Europe and Asia. They weighed up to 350 lbs. and they lived on mostly a vegetarian diet with the occasional scavenger diet from other dead bears or animals. Cave bears of thelast Ice Age lacked the usual two or three premolars present in other bears; to compensate, the last molar is very elongated, with supplementary cusps.
