Cave Bear Incisor, Ursus Spelaeus, Pleistocene. The Cave Bear is an extinct species of bear. Extinction of the cave bear seems to have been a gradual process that was complete between 28,000 and 27,000 years ago. Cave bears were thought to be mostly vegetarian with exception of the occasional scavenger meal on other dead cave bears. They weighed upwards of 350Lbs.
