Chino Sunrise from the Chino Mine, New Mexico. Through the climatic history of the earth this wonderful mineral was formed when copper ore was turned to a solution that ultimately reacted with other minerals that were present like pyrite and chalcopyrite. It frequently occurs in association with native copper, azurite, chrysocolla, malachite, tenorite and a variety of iron oxide minerals.
