Apophylite with Stilbite on Artistic Gear Stand
Apophyllite with Stilbite. I am truly awe-struck by the size of this piece as apophyllite is usually found within geodes formed by air bubbles when the rock was molten. Therefore It is difficult for miners to extract in one piece. This large mineral specimen is mainly composed of the white/clear apophyllite and accented with the beautiful peachy colored stilbite that grew along with it. *see detailed pictures. Tiny "sugar frosted" like crystallization is present on the apophyllite which is of particular aesthetic value.
The stand also has historic significance as it is custom designed by a metal artist who repurposed metal sourced from a historic chili factory in New Mexico. This is an original presentation of a truly magnificent piece!
