Since landing on our planet over one million years ago, in what is now Sweden, this Muonionalusta meteorite is so old it has experienced 4 ices ages on Earth! This particular specimen has a great mix of raw outer edge and iron-nickel crystals. (Known as a Widmanstätten pattern.) When holding this meteorite, because it is iron, it seems heavier than one would think. The Widmanstätten pattern in the meteorite shimmers brightly in the light; jumping out like a metallic modern painting!
