Meteorite in Brass Stand
This Meteorite has one natural side and one side polished into a rectangular form. Within the polished areas, this specimen has very defined Widmanstätten patterns, also known as Thomson structures, are figures of long nickel–iron crystals, found in the octahedrite iron meteorites and some pallasites. where the lines flicker different shades of silver in the light. This particular piece has great contrast between the polished side and natural side; as the natural side has a beautiful dark charcoal color.
Found in Sweden, it is a fragment from the muonionalusta meteorite that impacted Western Scandinavia approximately 1 million years ago. This piece is ready for display in your home or office and comes with the brass caliber stand, that allows one to view it from multiple angles.
